Host a Holiday JOY Theatre Party!

Celebrate your special occasion with a COMEDY show starring our Cast, your friends and/or your family.

Up to 40 people, big and small includes:

• 1 hour show at JOY Theatre with your choice of casts: Giggle Gaggle (ages 4-11) or Sunday Funnies (ages 12+) OR The Playground (big kids 18+) or a mix of any of the above
• Extra 1/2 hour party time before or *after scheduled show times (*$100)
• Music playlist of your choice, a counter for gifts, table for food/beverages
• Your picture or greeting on the program (free and optional).
• Friends invited to be a part of the show as well!
• 1 hour class for your guests before the show available (rates based on number of guests). 

How many can come?

We hold up to 40 regularly. The audience, your guests, will be invited to be on stage at various times throughout the show, so there may be lots of up and down in our seats. We also have wheelchair accessibility in the theatre and in the public restroom.

How much is it?

$300 - 2 hours includes 1 hour show and 1 hour party time for up to 40 people.

If you require longer than one hour of party time, it is an extra $100 fee every half hour.

Tips are not included, but the we are grateful for them.

When can we party with JOY Theatre?

Shows and parties are flexible within their 2 hour scheduled time. Just let us know your druthers.

You and your family are allowed to enter 1/2 hour before your guests arrive to decorate the lobby. There is one long table available for food, a counter and small fridge for food and drinks, and a small console table for gifts.

Weekend After-hours Parties:

Hours are available at the theatre according to the availability of The Open Stage West.

*All of our cast members receive payment for their part in helping make your child’s day special

*Tips always graciously accepted by the teenagers, not so graciously by the kids (you may get a yeehaw or woohoo)

We do not charge children 2 years of age or younger. There are no group rates.

Thank you so much for considering celebrating your special day with us. All of our casts are available to do parties whether for birthdays, corporate bring your kids to work days, holiday parties, camps, or extra entertainment for your event. They love performing for parties! 

How many can come?

We hold up to 40 regularly. At times, little ones like to sit up front on the floor. Most of the younger party guests and of course the birthday kid will be invited to be on stage at various times throughout the show, so there may be lots of up and down in our seats. We also have wheelchair accessibility in the theatre and in the public restroom.

Guests will all get seating first. Parents of our cast members are always allowed to be in the theatre while their child is performing, but they are all aware how much fun these parties can be, so they know they do not have seats until the party guests have been given seats.

How much is it?

$5 – each admission for the 1 hour show of which 100% goes to the cast performing plus $100 for half hour BEFORE the show party time

If you require longer than one half hour of party time before the show, it is an extra $100 fee every half hour. The public will not be invited to attend the Giggle Gaggle or Sunday Funnies Show if your guests are more than 25 in number as a courtesy to the public and to your party.

When can we party with JOY Theatre?

Typically, most parties last and hour and a half. Guests arrive one half hour BEFORE the show, eat, play games sometimes, hang out, run around on the stage. The show starts at its regularly scheduled time and ends in one hour. After the show, the kids get a slice of cake as they exit with a goody bag if you decide to dole them out. Casts will have to be prepared before the show, so most guests shouldn't arrive any earlier than 10 minutes prior to show time or party time. New casts enter right after a show ends for their rehearsals so, time after a show is a possibility, but needs to be scheduled. Shows and parties are flexible within their 3 hour scheduled time for our casts to be in rehearsal and perform. Just let us know your druthers.

The Giggle Gaggle Show (improv, stand up comedy, and sketches performed by kids 4-11):

Party time is 1:30 - 2:00 Saturdays or Sundays.

Show time is 2:00 –3:00. Guests should be ready to leave around 3:00.

The Sunday Funnies (all improv comedy  performed by kids 12+):

Party time is 10:30 to 11 on Sundays.

Show time is 11:00 - 12:00, and then the cake and souvenirs as you exit.

After School and Weekend After-hours Parties:

(improv, stand up comedy, and sketches performed by kids, teens and adults) are available at the theatre according to the availability of The Open Stage West for $300.

Friday and Saturday evenings are an extra $150.

Enjoy the night off and knowing your kids are safe, loved, and gonna be tired when they get home. Parent’s night out will have improv, karaoke, crafts, movies and more! Dinner/Snacks are included! Bring your friends! Pajamas, blankets, and pillows welcome but not required. 6-10 pm!  See the calendar for next dates o’funny!

Because we are so used to working with kids of all ages, kids are comfortable with a mix of age ranges because everyone is having fun.

When can we party with JOY Theatre?

Typically it will be a Friday or Saturday night, however we can schedule summer evenings if there are at least 20 kids.

What it is:

A comedy team of actors who perform improv that is hilariously catered to your company for either team building or in celebration.

Shows:

Comedy by Design  performs scenic based improv comedy supplied by your audience’s suggestions. Our casts come TO YOU prepared with the specifics of what you want your show to be so that it is catered uniquely for you. All shows include as much or as little audience participation, including having them perform with the cast! 

Teaching programs:

We endeavor to create entertaining programs and shows for all ages enabling your group to explore their imagination while using integral disciplines of leadership, teamwork, and individual artistic expression within the arena of a group environment. Get your staff, kids, group etc. to work together, create teamwork, and gain confidence while having fun!

Casts:

Comedy by Design casts are pulling from a large pool of a multitude of unique talents in all shapes and sizes. Each member is a trained actor and trained improv performer that has the ability to make the masses giggle or make the more intimate groups guffaw. We include as many of your staff in nearly every aspect of our shows and encourage all to participate in stress free, fun trainings, always making sure of those who may not think it’s their “thing”.

They’re usually the silent but deadly funny ones…

Event Includes:

• 1 hours of improv comedy (in the vein of "Whose Line is it Anyway?)
• 1 hour of group fun games

This corporate experience allows the comfort and safety of performing, because it's with people you already know and laugh with/at.

• You and your friends will be entertained by comedy veterans all while learning and playing games catered to you and your guests.
• The private party experience allows the comfort and safety of performing, because it's with people you already know and laugh with/at.
• We provide food, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks while you party.

How much is it?
